For over a decade, the WTCI has been a member of the World Trade Centers Association
(WTCA.) Our members include
not only established firms with international activities
but also small to medium-size firms who are exploring trade opportunities in the
global marketplace and young professionals looking to become better acquainted with
the international business community. We work with each member on an individual basis, according to his or her specific business focus.
Services include access
to the WTCA On-Line system, business-to-business meetings with incoming delegations,
industry round table discussions, targeted trade conferences and seminars and the
identification of trade agencies and partners in overseas markets.
Our mission is to help Illinois firms develop and/or expand their markets on a global
basis. WTCI is a member of the World Trade Centers Association ("WTCA"), the world’s
largest private business network, with over 750,000 corporate members in 360 cities
in nearly 96 countries. Our members constitute our mission and our reason for existing,
and we are reminded of that everyday. Simply put, we are here to help them grow
and we do this though international trade.
The World Trade Center Illinois carefully selects the companies it chooses to recruit
as members. We seek members who are increasingly aware of the global economy and
eager to engage it. To be a member of the WTCI, it takes vision, it takes ambition,
and it takes the pioneering spirit that has always characterized the Illinois entrepreneur.
Our members are attracted to the World Trade Center Illinois for several reasons.
The main reasons are: Import Assistance, Export Assistance, Education and Training,
Trade Information and Research, Special Events, Membership and Client Networking.
These reasons are manifest through world-class events featuring potential trade
partners from around the world, access to skilled and knowledgeable trade professionals,
and inclusion in a network of Illinois companies that are leading the way when it
comes to international trade.

Membership in the World Trade Center Illinois, with annual dues of $1,500.00, is
offered to individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations,
or government agencies who have a vested interest in international business and
who are deemed eligible as members of the World Trade Center Illinois.

The
Corporate Membership, with annual dues of $5,000.00, is offered to organizations
with strong involvement in international business. These companies are generally
interested in a higher level of involvement with the World Trade Center Illinois
and are very visible participants in and sponsors of our events.

The
Executive Membership, with annual dues of $10,000.00, is offered to organizations
with a strong involvement in international business, who are
interested in hosting or sponsoring WTCI events and want special access to WTCI speakers,
visiting delegations, and the WTCI Board.
The World Trade Center Illinois considers its member community a source of great
pride. It is a distinguished group that represents the face of Illinois to the rest
of the world, and from where we are standing, that face looks mighty good.
