Since 1987, the WTCC has been a member of the World Trade Centers Association, the
world's largest, private business network.
Chicago
has already established itself as the crossroads for domestic trade, and through
the efforts of the WTCC,
Chicago
has become a significant entryway for international trade.
Under the leadership
of our Chairman, the Honorable Neil F. Hartigan, the WTCC focuses on providing the
services our region needs to compete and succeed in the global markets. Among the
efforts of the WTCC to promote trade are the World Trade Center Chicago's African
Trade Institute and China Committee.
By emphasizing both trade promotion and education, we aim to create the trade culture
our business community needs to compete in the global market. We do so by providing
timely research, appropriate business referrals and access to industry experts.
WTCC sponsors events ranging from industry and region-specific conferences to matchmaking
events for incoming delegates and networking receptions for the international business
community.
Chicago
is indisputably the gateway to the
Midwest
. The World Trade Center Chicago's efforts bring
Chicago
one step closer to becoming the premier point of entry for international trade.
As communities learn more about their
World Trade Center
, stronger international ties can be built. In such turbulent times, peace and stability
can be achieved through understanding and acceptance. First and foremost, the World
Trade Centers are here to perform this function.

The WTCC works
with many business delegations who are interested in forming trade partnerships
with companies in the U.S. Midwest. We offer convenient programs to assist them
in achieving this goal.
The International
Matchmaking program works in one of two ways:
Virtual Introductions
Due to the high cost and inconvenience of travel some companies do not feel that
the journey to
Chicago
would be in their best interest this facet of the International
Matchmaking program is ideal for these companies. Those interested in virtual introductions
work with the WTCC to develop a detailed profile of the client and the company's
objectives. This trade profile is used to help us identify potential trading partners.
These candidates are then screened by the WTCC and we facilitate a direct contact
between your company and the new potential trade partners. As with any program sponsored
by the World Trade Center Chicago, we are available to assist you at any point in
the process.
Chicago Inbound Trade Mission Companies interested in face-to-face meetings in Chicago , the Gateway to the Midwest , the World Trade Center Chicago offers the Inbound Trade Mission Program. The WTCC uses internal resources to uncover potential trade and import assistance partners who will meet the client company’s objectives. Those companies interested in participating in this program are interviewed and screened by the WTCC; if we feel that Chicago is not the best point of entry for a specific company we will advise that they join the Virtual portion of the program. For specific information regarding the International Matchmaking program, please contact the World Trade Center Chicago at info@wtci.org . Members of the WTCC receive a weekly update of our past and upcoming events. Also, once a month members are the exclusive recipients of a monthly calendar detailing international events occurring in the Illinois area and all World Trade Centers across the world. The day-to-day activities of the World Trade Center Chicago are outlined in the WTCC Weekly update, a publication sent to members and friends. The WTCC News! highlights events that have transpired in the last week and keeps members updated on the events occurring. Even if a member is unable to attend an event, they can still benefit from it by reading about it in the WTCC News!. This medium also introduces the staff and tenants of the World Trade Center Chicago.
